Dear Racers,

It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter.  We have had to cancel the Labor Day Weekend Eagle Valley Classic races.

I have never had to cancel a race before and this was the hardest decision I have ever made since I have been putting
events on.  For those that know me, I put my heart and soul into these events and to have to cancel an event, especially
one this large, was devastating to me.  I can not express how I feel or how I feel for all of you!

The long and short of the story is that we have encountered some permit issues that we were not able to overcome.
Certain events this year in Colorado have caused road racing to be evaluated with a finer tooth comb and as a result we
didn't anticipate how heavy handed the restrictions and requirements would be for our event.

The primary concerns were the time trial and the criterium.  Local entities have imposed new restrictions on road racing
and as a result the cost of holding these events would exceed the budget by two fold or more.  We just can't afford to put
the race on this year.

We met with Beaver Creek and considered still holding the Hill Climb, but decided to regroup and focus on 2007 to pull all
of the events back together and hold them the way they need to be....the finest races in Colorado!

We will be spending a tremendous amount of time in the next couple of months with local authorities to hammer out these
issues for 2007 so we can get an appropriate jump on the permit process to ensure there will be no surprises for next
season.

Again, I am very sorry for not having these events this year and hope you all can find it in your heart to understand and
forgive me for dissapointing you all.
