Come enjoy the outdoors and one of Colorado’s best kept secrets at the Second
Annual Cordillera Snowshoe Race Series at the Nordic center located on the
Mountain course at the Cordillera in Edwards, CO .
Cordillera Snowshoe Adventure
January 28th, 2006 11:00 a.m.
The first race on January 28th at 11am provides a chance for the whole family to
experience the fast growing winter sport of snowshoeing with a 1K Kid’s Race for
ages 12 and under, a 5K Fun Run/Walk and a 10K race. The 5K race is designed
for all abilities to strap on their snowshoes and discover the trails at Cordillera. The
10K race is intended for those wanting to push their limits of endurance on a course
that will be a mix of everything from flat groomed trails to fresh deep powder.
Cordillera Moonlight Snowshoe Adventure & Party
February 25th, 2006 7:00 p.m.
The second race of the series on February 25th at 7pm is the premier moonlight
snowshoe race & post race party in Colorado. After the sun goes down, the fun
begins. The course is lit with glow sticks and participants don headlamps to guide
their way. All participants will navigate the 5K course primarily on single track.
NEW COURSE FOR 2006 START AND FINISH AT THE TRAILHEAD CLUBHOUSE
Demo Snowshoes will be provided by Red Feather Snowshoes and will be available
on a first-come first-serve basis.
